Myofascial therapy focuses on the relationship between muscle (“myo”) and connective tissue (“fascia”). When fascia loses its normal glide and elasticity, movement can feel restricted and pain patterns can become persistent.
Common reasons people book
Myofascial therapy is commonly used when you have:
- ongoing back, shoulder, hip or neck pain
- recurring tightness after sport or gym work
- headaches linked to neck/upper back tension
- jaw tension (TMJ-related symptoms)
- a sense of “pulling” or restriction that stretching does not resolve
What happens in a session
We start with a brief history and a look at how your body is moving today. Treatment is hands-on and targeted. The goal is to reduce tissue restriction and improve movement freedom, then support the result with simple advice you can actually follow.
How this fits with other services
Myofascial therapy is often combined with neuromuscular work, sports massage strategies, and (where appropriate) acupuncture.
