ICB orthotics are semi-custom foot supports designed to improve how load moves through the body during standing, walking and training. Rather than acting as a generic insert, they are selected based on how your feet function and how your body moves.
Who they are commonly for
People often explore orthotics when they have:
- plantar fasciitis or heel pain
- foot fatigue with standing or walking
- Achilles tendinopathy or shin strain
- knee discomfort linked to movement patterns
- hip or lower-back symptoms influenced by loading through the feet
How they work
The feet influence how force travels through the ankles, knees, hips and lower back. When support at this level is limited, other areas may compensate over time.
Semi-custom orthotics are selected following a simple assessment of posture, walking pattern and symptoms. The aim is to improve support during everyday movement and reduce strain for long-term alignment and improved posture.
What you may notice-
- reduced strain through the heel or arch
- improved comfort with walking or standing
- better tolerance to training load
- less fatigue through the lower legs
- improved balance between left and right sides
How they fit with treatment-
Orthotics can be helpful when combined with Fascial Release treatment and movement advice rather than used in isolation. If they are appropriate for your situation, we can discuss options during a standard appointment.
